IMPORTANT TIP to those updating to 3.0 with a jailbroken device!

    Those of you with a jailbroken iPod Touch now at 2.2.1, you might want to delete all your Cydia apps before you update to 3.0. Else you won't be able to reclaim the space since you'll lose the jailbreak as well as SSH ability.

    EDIT: Just to clarify, yes a restore will do the trick (ie. clear the memory your Cydia apps were taking up) if you're at 3.0 already. Only prob is that you're gonna have to wait for a few hours for all your stuff to sync back in, which is a pain

    ah buggar... will a restore not just wipe it all?

    Even if u restore ? I dont get what u mean, since restore, restores your ipod completely to a fresh firmware? So why should the files still be there?

    yeah you're right... restore will wipe it all... and if not it's no big deal.. just means when the jb is out i'll have my cydia apps right there
