This is a discussion thread for the "iMovie on an iPhone 3GS" story posted on the front page.
It just depended on time until they would do it. Movies won't be HD tho right Please Register or Log in to view images

I wanna put iMovie on my iPad!
This would be cool if u could try out iMovie on older devices
A quick search on ipodtouchfans will probably give you a good idea of what needs to be modified to make this work. It assumes you can manually install IPA files.
I am not clear on what violates Apple's rules from reading the original article whether it's the manual installation of IPA files or the modifying of system files.
Edit: Oh, now I get it. By editing IPAs he must mean using an SDK? Sometimes I'm just slow.
You could find that out by doing a search?
I already know how, but I would think the sort of thing would be removed from this site.
Before it was taken down, I think the process was just opening the IPA package and modifying files with a text editor.
Well, I found it myself and it's now working on my almost-two-year-old iPod touch 2nd gen.
I can't tell you how to exactly do it, but, what I can tell you is, it's super simple, just delete two lines of code from a plist file inside the IPA that refers to the front facing camera on the iPhone 4.
If you want specific instruction you can P.M. me.
cool i guess even though i really dont care about shooting video in 720p, lets hope Stevie pulls his head out of his ass and releases it in the appstore for the 3gs!
