iMovie effects...?

So what kind of effects does iMovie offer? Like filters, gamma mixing? I'm looking for something that will give the HD look that those cool slow motion vids offer. I'm gonna be broke buying a new Mac (my parents are/may buy me a MBP this summer bc I'm dual enrolling ).

So effects? What do they have?

I'm not talking about slowing it down, but the video effect that makes it look...washed out? Idk, but this kind of filter thingy

Yup iMovie does have some filters that you can apply over the video. I think the closest one to the video is either Heat Wave or Glow as they both really bring out the lighter colors in the video.
