Why does the photo have a bunch of flagship phones for other companies in it?

The "new" iPhone in that picture are ugly! I hope it looks more refined when it comes out.

That really looks too stupid to be an apple release. I just can't see them doing it. Making the screen long like that... it doesn't make sense just to lengthen it and not make it any wider, now it's far out of proportion. Apple are usually pretty vigilant about the design of their products. I'm still very skeptical of this, and in my opinion the rumor mill is killing the hype of the September 12th event.

You seem to forget that most apps and a big part of iOS consists of different kind of lists (the broad definition). Those apps would work great with a taller screen, as would pretty much all video. Also, don't forget that most Android phones now days are 16:9 too and that has worked out great, at least with the slightly larger sizes of screens. All I'm saying is don't discount the benefits just yet.

A larger screen is a great thing, there would be obvious benefits. I just can't see apple incorporating it in this way though, it's too unprofessional looking. Also, the current iPhone design is perfect with how it sits in your hand in regards to your reach across the screen.
