I just wish iMessage would somehow come to the iPod Touch 2G... In some sort of iOS 4.2.2 or something...

Ok from what i'm gathering, Imessage will be the central place for SMS and idevice-to-idevice messages on the iphone. Any word yet from the creator of SMS GV Extension that imessage may work with it? I'm mainly concerned since I had and Ipod Touch 4g and would hate having to use 2 different apps for messaging

Honestly, I don't mind this feature too much. I mean, everyone has phones now a days with texting, and most people ALWAYS have their phones. I just say text them, but that's just my opinion.

iMessage is much faster. And you don't have to pay for a texting plan if you mainly use iMessage.

o_o; iMessage is no where in iOS4. It's a brand new iOS 5 feature.

    No, it's still there.

You theoretically COULD get iMessages onto iOS 4, it wouldn't be impossible to get a copy of it, edit it round and make it work on iOS 4. It happened with Facetime
