Ok, so I'm using Gmail on my iPod, with IMAP enabled. It does a nice job of syncing with Gmail, but only the Inbox actually downloads messages. Any message in a different folder has to be downloaded manually by opening the folder. So for example, let's say I got a message that was put in my "Friends" label. If it also goes to the inbox, I get it just fine. However, if it get's put in the "Friends" label the only way I get it is if I specifically open the folder and it updates. Does anyone else have this problem, and is there a fix?

I pop my gmail, and it downloads everything, but ignores whether its been tagged to go in a specific folder or not..... everything ends up in my inbox, unsorted.

Did you manually configure this account on the iPod, or did you use the Gmail preset option in the Settings? I used the preset and it works fine for me; i.e., my e-mail is sorted by label and all folders are synchronized (including Sent Mail)

Really? Huh. I used the big Gmail button to set it up, just like yours. Did you change any of your settings on your iPhone or did it just work?

To be honest, I cannot recall. Try checking the link that jpga posted.

Well, I tried removing the account and setting it up again and that seemed to work. Thanks!
