Imac generation 4

    Ok so i have an Imac g4 and lately(past month) when it gets to the apple logo when it first starts up it just freezes!!!!!! is there any way to fix this???? please help me someone i just got this about 7 months ago.

    I'd take it into apple. I had a G4 that did the same thing. There was a small flaw on the hard drive that ended up being the same area that the computer reads the startup scripts off of. And if you can get it on and running all the way, open Disc Utility. Run a full scan on your hard drive to see if it's corrupt of something.

    k so some people told me to run the installation disk and it should work but my cd drive wont open!!!help!!!

    when you turn it on, hold down the option key until a menu for startup options appear. When it appears you should be able to open your disc drive
