I posted this in the tutorial thread 3 days ago and still haven't gotten an answer. I got through all 19 steps of the tutorial and the steps to get it to boot. However I get the connect to iTunes screen afterwards. There is a note of what to do for that, but it doesn't work for me. After I put in "fsboot" I get " HFSInitPartition:0xffa2a40". Then I type in "go" and it says "Memory image not valid".

Again, sorry for making the new thread, but no one was giving an answer in that thread and I really want to get this done. I've spent hours trying to jailbreak my iPod.

I've gone through the full thing at least 3 times and I get stuck at that part each time.

Are you trying to do the semi-tethered, or the tethered?

Also, you might try using a GUI instead of going manual.

Sorry I forgot to put that in, I thought I did. It's the semi-thethered.

I'm not exactly sure what that is. If it's that Decovery program, I've tried that and I get the same thing.

A GUI is a program that does the jailbreaking process for you, but the only GUI for semi-tethered is Mac-only I think.

You should try using the Tethered Jailbreak, since there are many, many, many, many more tutorials and GUIs for it.
Plus, it's easier to get working.

Well I was messing around with it and now I have an even bigger problem. My computer doesn't recognize my ipod and my ipod won't turn on at all. When I plug in the USB I get a popup that says "USB Not Recognized". I've had a similar situation where I just held the power buttons and got out of this, but I've tried everything and can't get it this time.

I seriously think I just f***ed up my ipod.
