ive looked through several pages of the tech help and have not found this problem yet

so i can open apps and slide to the next springboard page
but when i open an app none of the buttons are pressable
the only button within an app i can press is the add event button in the calendar app
the screen never turns off when i had it set to turn off in a minute or so

i have tried everything short of restoring the ipod

i can ssh into it and delete things and i deleted all the recent apps i downloaded
and it still didn't fix it

    what should i dooo?

    i'm so scared

Yeh I've also had this problem... Funny I read this now as currently I a m repwning my iPot because of this problem. Just restore it, if your sooooo scared and think it's too much of a pain then either deal with it and have a useless iPot or stop being a little b*tch and put all your stuff back on it.

Just restart your ipod 3 or 4 times. This is somewhat normal unfortunately.

wow, i havn't restored my ipod in over 6 months. You should never needto restore as there is alwaysa fixfor everything.

    as forthe problem..
did you recently jailbreak 1.1.4? because if you did than you SHOULD have done the thing with the MobileAddressbook.app.

    http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62992

When i first jailbroke 1.1.4 i forgot to do it and all my apps would freeze up, then i restored and did i, and i havnt had a problem since.

an alternativeto resotring would be to TRY running this command.
im not to sure if it will work cus i havnt tried it,but im pretty sure it will

    chown -R mobile:wheel /private/var/mobile/Library/AddressBook

uhm dunno if it was already said or if you fixed it yet but i get this about everyday. if you press sleep. it looks pretty cool too! love that part but it sucks at the same time. just try some restarts.(hard and soft(slide bar is soft to me)(hard being home and sleep at same time till everythin closes.)) that will work and yeh. i have tried to research this and all i can figure out is because of not enough space? or too many apps . or if you have installed a fault app(a hacker trying to screw the ipod) well if it works than good thing
