    and I don't know why.

    Wasn't I promised 5 or 5.5 hours inc wireless?

Why am I getting less than half of that..? Seems a bit absurd for a brand new laptop.

    Maybe your battery is faulty?

5.5 hours is great for a laptop. That's rarely ever hit, though. It sounds good on paper.

My old Mac hit that much. It is true that it is rare, but if you take care of it when you first get it, it works fine. I know what it's like to get a new toy believe me, but if you hold back the urge and let it fully charge straight out of the box, then let it completely die before charging it fully again the battery lasts much longer.

My macbook gets 4 and a half hours with constant use, although at the beginning it only estimates it to last like 3 hours.

What are you doing on your MacBook? What processes are running? How much of your CPU is being used?
