i had firmware 2.0 jailbroke and i downloaded bossprefs. i was dumb and started hideing some of my apps and while not paying attention i also hid bossprefs so i had only music safari itunes appstore and videos on my springboard. i restored, hoping i could just sync it with i tunes but all the legit apps i had wont come back. is there a bosspref sor 2.1. that i can use to un hide my apps?

Maybe if you put your device into DFU mode and restore, it will fix this problem. I'm not sure about bossprefs on 2.1 but its basically the same as 2.0 so I'm guessing if you can get Cydia on your device, you can download and install bossprefs.

    Hope this helps.

I think your problem is that the iPod backup remembers if you hid an app. After I restored to 2.1, some apps stayed hidden or unlaunchable. But OpenSSH is one of the first things I always install

If Totally 1337's how-to didn't work, try restoring and treating your iPod as NEW, and DON'T RESTORE FROM THE BACKUP.
Sorry for using so many caps
