Alright, I've been using iPod touches for years now. I recently (few months ago) got the newest model and everything has been working fine. Once in a while though it'll say failed to sync and I just have to restart and it'll be fine. More recently though, the changes I make in iTunes don't carry over into my iPod. For example, I'll drag a song into the iPod, and it syncs for a second, and no problem. It's in my iPod now, but then I'll change the name of it or the artist or the album in iTunes, it syncs, but when I check on my iPod it doesn't change at all. So let's say I have a song that says "Fight the Feeling (Feat. Kendrick Lamar) (Prod Cardo)" and I'll rename it to just "Fight the Feeling ft. Kendrick Lamar", it'll show up like that in iTunes but on my iPod it stays the same as before I edited it.

This just started recently and it's really messing with my iPod. Even weirder, I had a song I downloaded that I dragged into my iPod but the name just popped up as the website I got it from, something like beemp3.com or something like that, so I rename it to "Desperado", but on my iPod, in the song listing, it still comes up as Beemp3.com even though it's with all the "D" songs in alphabetical order! It was like this for a week and suddenly it fixed itself this morning. But now I'm still having the same problem with any new songs I put on. Anyone know what could be going on?

An existing song's info won't change if you have Manually Manage Music and Videos checked under your device. You'll have to delete the song and resync it.

Where can I find that? Also I am changing the name of the song right in iPod Music section of iTunes. It still won't have any effect? How am I supposed to change song titles on my iPod then if I don't want to sync with my computer library? It used to work with no problem.

It's under your iPod's name in the Devices section of the iTunes sidebar. Heres a picture:

But if I uncheck that, it says all my music on my iPod will be replaced by music from my iTunes library. I don't want that. I want specific music on this iPod. You're saying there's no way to change the name of a song unless I sync it with my library?

Unless you delete it from the iPod (you can do this by swiping left on the song in the Music app), I don't remember any other way.

Just delete the song from the iPod (with iTunes or by swiping in the Music app) and re-add it.
