im having problems with my ipod touch 1st gen doesnt turn on just go white

    my ipod doesnt turn on is a ipod touch 1st gen and is jailbroken
    the dock were the usb is broken i have to push it forward to turn on it used to turn on now it just go white like if i need to boot it. the white screen is like the one when jailbraking the 2nd generation when is on DFU
    what should i do

    What did you do before the screen turned white?

    i didnt do nothing i didnt install nothing i was just moving the cable around it went white and then it whent battery dead , and then i did it all over again.
    now i tried it on a wall charger and it did the same thing

    Try putting it in DFU mode and restoring it.

    Put it in DFU mode and it will.

    It put it in DFU mode:
    1) Open itunes
    2) Open the windows clock
    3) Hold the power and home button for 10 seconds (Use windows clock for exact timing)
    4) Release power but keep holding home for 8 seconds
    5) Restore in itunes

    Yup, but its better then having to buy a new ipod.

    I had the same pro blem with my 1G, turned out to be a hardwere failure. You might want to call apple if its still under warrenty.
