well it took a while but i think I'm almost bored of my touch.
in the past 6 months for me its been a very steep and accelerated learning curve, but i think Ive almost climbed the mountain. From jail breaking to Cydia tweaks to not having to use itunes, converting files for the ipod and ultimately modding the icons etc etc.....and ladies and gents I'm almost bored,
Ive tried a truckload of apps from sh*te and buggy to not quite what i want and then a select few which suite.

i want some older heads to give me some new direction please, I'm sure there are paths i have not walked so if any heads out there have something they could share i would be most grateful !

start developing your own applications. That should keep you busy

i know what you mean. i started to get bored of my touch but then i started using photoshop to improve it graphically, ive been able to make some pretty cool stuff and its great for showing off to my friends who dont even know how to JB. or you could do what ipodk88 said and make ur own apps, either for cydia/installer or appstore.

Is there any way to develop apps using Windows or Ubuntu? Preferably Windows. These are the only OSs I have installed on my PC.

To build off that, I recommend:

Anything from Revision3, CNet, G4TV, Epic FU, ON Networks, Pixel Corps, and I think theres more.

You can code on Vista...using the toolchain though, which is much more difficult than the SDK...
