    Well, long story short, my hacktivated iPhone 2G fell out of my pocket onto hardwood. I havn't noticed anything wrong with it in regards to the touchscreen, audio, or power, but the sim tray fell out on impact, and even after reinserting it, I havn't been able to get any cellular service. I can't tell if it's just my crappy area or the sim card being messed up... So any suggestions besides rebooting/respringing/restoring?

    is another phone available? if yes try the SIM there. But if the SIM is broken it isn't a big problem, just go to the provider and pick up (maybe against some fees) a new one.
    I don't think that there would be a problem with "SIM trays falling out causing problems on cellular services in the iphone"

    Okay now I'm suspecting that the phone's internal antenna has become f***ed up. Put my sim card into a razr (ugh) and it's picking up 5 bars. This is utter bullsh*t -_- I don't want to be stuck with a razr. I'd rather kill myself

    Restore it, then take it to Apple. See what they say.

    Ouch. Stuck with a Razr.
    That's terrible. Going from the iPhone to that.

    Me wishes I had an iPhone.... But it'd cost $2,000 total for 2 years X_X.

    I'd go to Apple and ask for a new one.
    You'll probably have to pay, though.

    And Restore it first, Apple will be upset when they see it's been hacktivated.

    It's hacktivated. And two years old. They won't do anything but laugh.

    Restore it, and they won't know it's hacktivated.
    Maybe they'll laugh at the 2G, but that shouldn't matter.

    And even so, what could they do with a 2G iPhone that has no sim card and is stuck on the insert sim card screen? I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have any 2Gs just sitting around -_-;;;

    It's out of warranty so Apple won't do anything but off you a new one for $200, which is $100 less than a 3G 8 GB off contract. And yes they do still have 2Gs lying around at the Apple store nut there refurbs.
