    Hey everyone!

I just jailbroke my ipod touch w/ firmware V2.1. This youtube video says that if i download this Services application via Installer, i can increase my battery life by turning on/off SSH but there are only 7 things under "All Packages"!

Everyone on this thread reffered the guy to BossPrefs, but that app can't turn off ssh.

Does anyone know where i can find Services or get Installer to run properly?

    Thanks!

BossPrefs is able to turn off SSH.
It won't appear unless you have it installed first. Get OpenSSH from Cydia, and then it will appear on Boss Prefs :]

    Why are you using Installer?

because installer had longer to develop and gain stability in the 1.-.- firmwares, where it is the complete opposite in 2.-.- firmwares. installer was the better choice back when.

won't that defeat the whole point tho? if he is wanting to save battery he shouldn't install it at all.

openssh is essential, just not needed all the time, so he should have in installed, but not always running

OpenSSH does not eat battery when you are not using it actively.
