I'm a bit confused, which firmware will be a more stable hack for rensn0w?

I was reading the headline and Kiks thread about the 2G hack, and it said on there that both firmwares could be hacked and stuff, but then it said on MuscleNerds single post describing the 2G jailbreak and he said the bug was found in 2.1.1 and was fixed in 2.2. I may have read it wrong, but I just wanna know for sure if both firmwares can be stab lily hacked. I really don't wanna go back to pirating firmware. (we all have done it)

Sorry for the dumb question, just wanna be sure.

I think they will downgrade just a little part of the 2.2 firmware so that it works?

hey that isn't a dumb question. it is totally legit. better than most of the other questions that i've seen here about redsn0w... what i'm thinking is that they will have u downgrade to 2.1.1, but then be able to upgrade to 2.2 thru some means... or maybe we'll b able to quickpwn 2.2 right away.. but yea... good question

The exploit requires the 2.1.1 iBSS, which can be uploaded through DFU on pretty much any version, well 2.2 at least, for now.

to put it simply, do not worry about it. you will always remain on 2.2 and retain all of the features.
