    I really hope this comes true! I would love this feature and would 100% buy a ipod nano if it can connect to the iphone :)

    It would be nice to get rid of that legacy adapter. They can always make an adapter too (8 to 18pin or whatever) for getting legacy peripherals working with the new iDevices.

    I never really did understand it. The new connector is only a small fraction of the size of the 30-pin connector, yet it was supposed to be 19 pins - 2/3 of those 30 pins. 8 pins makes much more sense.

    I do have one concern. I have existing 30 pin docks in home and office. I wonder if there will be an adapter to allow the NEW i-devices like iPhone 5 to dock on my existing docks. I want to upgrade the phone but want to KEEP the existing docks . these docks are attached to clock radios / stereos and do not need replacing at this time.
