yeah. and I can't restore it with itunes, it just keeps spitting this out after I restart my ipod. I'm thinking I'm just gonna let the power drain, and take it from there, but I don't know. does anyone have any better suggestions?

Hold your POWER and HOME buttons until the connect to itunes graphic shows and then let go. Plug into your compute and restore to 1.1.4 in tunes. It may take 2 or 3 minutes, but just hold both and wait.

PS.... follow these instructions for ilibertyX : http://www.modmyifone.com/wiki/index.php/ILibertyX

He doesn't need to restore. He can just use ZiPHONE to kick it back into Normal Mode.

EDIT: Also, he needs to use ZiPhone 2.6b to fix/clear his NVRAM.

I tried 5 times, and the logo for the iPod does not appear on the desktop. I managed to click through it fast enough to hit the restore and go through the sequence, but the iPod auto-ejects or something.

    This is what you do.

    1) Hold Power & Home till it shuts off.

    2) Unplug Device

    3) Hold Home

    4) Plug in Device

    5) Open ZiPhone 2.6b <--Yes. (Version Matters)

    6) Since you are using Mac OS X (Which you are AWESOME for), Go to the "Mode" drop down menu.

    7) Select Normal Mode

    8) Now your iPod should be back to the Home Screen.

    ---TO JAILBREAK---

    9) Keep iPod Plugged in

    10) Go to "File" select CLEAR/FIX NVRAM (This is in ZiPhone 2.6b)

    ---WITH ZiPHONE---

    11a) Click iPod Touch

    ---WITH iLiberty---

    11b) Click "Free my 16GB"

Not sure I follow you. If you have the graphic on the ipod and plug it into itunes, Itunes will show that it has detected your ipod for restore. If so, then restore to 1.1.4. Afterwards leave it connected and open you ilibertyx, open it and just select JAILBREAK ONLY. You may have made other selections before.

The ipod does not display the graphic for more than 3 seconds, the repeating lines of that code just appear.
Thanks for your help, but Teslanaut solved it for me.

Thanks a ton Teslanaut! And w00t for Macs!
