If your iDevice turns off and you used the iH8Sn0w Jailbreak, you will need to to re-jailbreak your iDevice by rerunning iBooty.

You can download iBooty (pre-configured for your iDevice) here:

iPod Touch 2G 8GB (MC Model):

    iPod Touch 3G 32/64GB:

{Thanks for supasnashbuhl for the IPT 3G iBooty links)

    1. Start up iBooty.exe

    2. click Boot it.

    3. Then click booty callz!

    4. Just wait for the re-jailbreak.

Uhm, why was this needed? There are already one or two very detailed tutorials... They include everything you have too...

Alright, do I run iBooty while in recovery mode? Or running 3.1.2 or 4.0?

While in recovery mode, while on 3.1.2. But please read the full tutorials on here, or at ih8snows forum.

Oh, I know, I was just wondering. I've read the tut thoroughly and just had a few questions.

So I run iBooty with that folder and then I have 4.0 jailbroken?

You use ibooty the first time to prepare for custom firmware. Then once the 4.0 custom firmware is loaded, use ibooty to boot it out of recovery mode. It's all right there in the guide.
