I installed igopher and had no problems with downloading apps to my Ipod touch 1.1.5. but when I go to installing the apps I get "Error package download failed: can't find host. I noticed that there were several people with the same problem but no fixes. Is there anyone out there who has found a remedy for this problem.

    Thanks in advance1

Why do people insist on using Installer....it blows camel d***

Fix = Don't Use It, use Cydia

Are you on Wifi? Without wifi you can't download apps/packages.

EDIT: 30 posts... I AM NOW AN ADMIRER!

    Thanks for the replys

beeshabo "Fix = Don't Use It, use Cydia" - I will try Cydia and post back with results.

itouchmyitouch37 "Are you on Wifi?" - No I don't have access to wifi in my location. This is why I am using igopher, there have been many success stories for people like myself without wifi access.

Ok I've tried using Cydia I'm still having problems. I'm not seeing any of my packages under Cydia's "All Packages". As a matter of fact there are no packages. This is after Gopher reports that the app's are on the ipod and ready for install.

The problem I was having seems to have been the version of Gopher and not the choice of Installers. I recently downloaded gopher 2005 and I'm now able to install apps with Installer. I hope this helps.

    He's on 1.1.5, not 2.x ! Installer is way better before 2.0

Yes that is very true. and for igopher IDK it they still support that the last time i check it was still in alpha (according to their page) for 1.1.3. So if you want to downgrade it will work for you.
