    Hi all,

I just bought Ifile for 3.1.3 JB, after hearing all the good things about it. Can anybody explain how exactly this works, yes i know i sound simple lol

Can i go to a website that has a file on it through safari and simply download it directly to the ipod, unzip and use it?

How do i download new themes for example with it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Chers

iFile is a filesystem browser, so you can view files on your iPod's internal filesystem. You don't download themes with it, but you CAN unzip themes you find from websites, and install them to your iPod.

Also, someone correct me if I am wrong, but inorder to save .zip files, you need Safari download manager..

Quick question, if i download albums zipped, unzip them does it have to be a specific folder to save them in for them to play in the ipods standard player? or do you need to download dtunes or something?

Sorry new to this side of things but damn Jailbreaking has never been better!!

Yep dTunes or put them on your computer and sync with iTunes.
For dTunes you need them in a particular folder but it's easy to find.

Oh i see people talking about changing their SSH password, do i need to do this with ifile? or is it only if you use open SSH? i usually turn it off and dont SSH via a PC

If i do, how do you change it in iFile?

Or you can play your album direct off iFile. No headphone remote support though.

Can't change it using iFile, install 4.26 MobileTerminal, then go into Cydia and follow the password changing guide there.
