It looks like our beloved iFile will no longer be free (straight from the iFile blog):
    The Blog

Do you think it should stay free? Has he put the work in so he deserves to charge? Is it time for MobileFinder to be updated? Will you pay?

    I think he is greedy.

I real developer doesn't /beg/ for donations and if he doesn't get his way he goes and does what he is doing.

I mean, the dev team is offering the jailbreak for free..

    Jailbreak vs iFile? meh.

    Go to /dev/null ifile developer

    wtf!
every single time a dev starts to sell his product a thread like this is made
personally i wont pay because im a cheap guy who doesn't mind popups once a week but iFile is an amazing product that deserves compensation

I always thought they were greedy vecause they holdoff updates until they get a certain amount of donations

i agree with him charging for it (since he did develop it) but i don't like the method, don't hold the end user at ransom for donations, just put it on the cydia store without all the taboo

Of course! Those darn developers and their holding back updates! They can't do that! It's not like they made it or anything!

I'm not going to yell at someone who doesn't want to donate. But I will gladly yell at someone who doesn't respect the work of an individual.
