i had a new ipod touch that came installed w/ 1.1.3 and the new software, and i was using itunes 7.6.

i used this method to jailbreak it and it works fine - http://rupertgee.wordpress.com/2008/02/08/jailbreak-113-official-gui/

but at step C, i couldn't find OktoPrep under the installer. here's how to get it:

under installer, go to "install" > "sources", and add "community sources". after you install that, you should be able to find it.

after the whole thing, i had issues w/ itunes not recognizing the ipod. first i opened up utilities>activity monitor on my imac and quit "itunes helper". i also plugged it in directly to the usb port without using a hub.

    now everything works great!
