why didn't they implement a sun powered battery? What if I get lost in the woods and do not have service either? My regular batter would just die. No?

It would probably cost a lot more.

If I'm lost in the woods with just my iPhone and it has a compass how come it doesn't have an inflatable raft so if it tells me to go across a river I can?

How come it doesn't make me fire?

    Or food?

Most people who are in the woods camping usually have a compass/gps and know how to get out and don't rely on their iPhone.

Just bring along one of those charging cases if you need battery so damn bad.

I mean if it was $50 more I definitely considered buying it.

I doubt it would be just $50 more.

To be able to power the iPhone, it's screen, and the digital compass would take a lot.

It would be way more then just $50 to implement scratch resistant, drop resistant, human oil resistant solar panels on to a iPhone that would keep it charged and running.

You're def right. It won't be long until this will be implemented though.

There's solar powered chargers around already, but I'd bet a lot of money solar power doesn't get integrated into an iphone.
