iOS 4.1 if i update to 4.1 does it delete all my music?

    so i have a 4.0 2g mc model itouch and i want to upadte to 4.1 and get rid of my jailbreak cuz ive been jailbreaking since 1.1.1 days and theres really no poin tto it anymore. so i updated my bros ipod that wasnt jailbroken and unlike other updates all his music and everything was kept on his ipod. i was wondering if mine owuld do that too and id keep my music because i have none of it backedup and i cant lose it. mines jailbroken thats why im iffy about it...

    If you click update then no
    If you click restore then yes
    But you can transfer your music.

    how? ive been looking and i cant find a free and good ipod to mac music transfer. its freakin hard

    You can backup a jailbroken device, it stores data files not the actual device.

    aka, restoring from backing up a jailbroken device will restore all data that isn't jailbreaking data, except for system settings.

    alright ill try it. but i deleted the stocks app and contacts app with ssh would that affect anything?

    I use phone disk for all that stuff. You can just navigate to /User/Media/iTunes_control and copy your music folder. It's currently free because they give you a serial until December.

    If you buy all your songs off itunes, right click your device in itunes and click transfer purchases. Otherwise, google SharePod. Im not sure if its windows only though.

    Highly unlikely it will cause issues. If all else, they wont come back, but you deleted them for a reason right?

    alright so i updated my ipod and everything was ok all teh high blood pressure for nothing XD but i still wanna get my music onto my computer now i downloaded phone disk and restarted my computer but it wont open now? whenever i press the icon it doesnt move or do anything i have all the system requirements i know that
