My first iPod touch was a 1st generation (obviously) and it was water damaged over the summer. If I was to finally cough up the money to get it replaced (it was $250 in July) would I get a 1st gen or a second gen?

I'm conflicted about whether or not to spend another $250, and this may be a deciding factor. I'll probably call the apple store tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone here had any experience in this, so I could save some time.

I haven't even been on the site since July...

I apologize for repeating this question that has apparently been asked quite frequently.

I just called the Apple store, and they said it'd still be $250 to replace my touch (including giving them mine) when a refurbished one is $229 or so. So, I think I'm just going to get a refurbed one...
