I have asked apple store and got reply that apple supports 1 year global warranty.
So If my iPod is still under warranty, should I still be worried about bricking?

Seeing that some people are getting 'replacement' for iPod touch and my warranty is until november, if I brick my iPod touch by using winpwn or something I should be able to get replacement as well..?
    Can anyone confirm this please???

Probably not, they will say you jailbroke it, voiding the warranty

    but how would they know?
It really depends on how bad the bricking is.
If you cant boot it up using iliberty, ziphone, or anything.
Then i dont think Apple can boot it up either.

all apple products have warrenty with that out of the way in this case all ipods have a year of warrenty so yes there is a warrenty under the device now if he jailbreaks it and needs help by apple he is screwed or if he restores then they will never know that he jailbroke his ipod

above is reply from an email asking warranty..
Also from apple site i saw that receipt doesnt matter since you can check warranty status on their website.

and check if your warranty is valid. If it is then I think it is covered by Apples global warranty
