If i buy the sdk to make ipod touch apps and games will it give me everything I need to begin making games.

I would most likely would make 2d games and no 3D ones. The only experince i have is making some simple games using game maker, which is proably useless knowlege for thos.

What is the differnce between the pro and regular sdk?

I have no coding experince except for html and bats. I am willing to learn and can spend 2-4 hours a day learning. My macbook pro is being shipped to me now so what are some things i should look into?

    the SDK itself is free
its the license to sell the apps on the appstore that is not
so, there isn't a "pro" or "free" version

    you'll need to learn Objective-C
there's plenty of books (just browse amazon) and lots and lots of online tutorials such as those on this site, or sites like www.icodeblog.com/

You don't have to pay for the SDK, you just need to make a Dev account and download the SDK. It's only once you decide to sell your app you have to purchase the 99$ Dev Program.

So if you submit a free app you don't have to pay $99?
