iEmoji, the app for using smilies and symbols in e-mails and texts, will be banned from the App Store because it edits the settings on the iPod. So i was wondering if there are any Cydia or Icy apps that replace this one.

Actually it was banned then right after they let them back on and today they just banned them because the emoji was on the app store this morning when I looked.

Plus if you downloaded it from iTunes it's on your computer LOL.

I went to cydia and saw that it only supported the 2.2 firmware only. I have the 2.2.1 firmware so should I still download it?

    Sure why not.
Does it say "only" or does it just not say 2.2.1?
