    what is idevicerestore? i heard it had to do something with 4.0 or ipsws but i'm totally lost. it was appparently released just a few days ago, so there are few articles on the net about it.

    You compile it on Linux/Windows/Mac .c is cross platform. You can compile it on Windows with a GNU compiler. Google.

    Compile it in linux, and run it.

    Theres a special way to compile it in linux you have to use terminal to install it so itll only work on linux/mac. I need someone whose experienced in using linux/mac to compile it for me....

    Same. Well, I have a Mac, but I'm too lazy to figure out how to compile it.

    I tried the generic instructions to compile on Linux in the INSTALL file, but it didn't work.

    I don't think this is all the app's source code, I think posixninja mentioned the rest of the code will soon follow. So maybe that's why it doesn't work.
