    This is sort of pointless you can check in settings and on the back*.

    *bottom right corner "EMCXXXXXXXX"

    No it doesn't for me. It doesn't detect my iPhone 3GS. I put it in DFU and it even said recovery mode DFU in the right corner popup on xp. But still says no device detected! Even under device manager I can find the version!

    nvm got it to work. put it in revocery instead of DFU. this time with itunes logo.

    There are 3GS models that are MB that have the new bootrom. I have one of them, in fact. That's why there are people on the forum trying to JB iOS4 with sn0wbreeze and getting denied. f0recast was telling them they are fine, when they are not. That's why this detector is out there.
