Would it be possible to copy the springboard folder from (I forgot where exactly it is) to the /var/stash/Themes/ folder and optimize the files with Winterboard and then paste it back to the original source overwriting the files.

In theory this would make everything much faster. Any thoughts?

That would crash the device. Winterboard can only handle so much.

If this works, in theory, it would do a serious favor to my iPhone... Every Image you see in iOS(So pretty much everything) has to be translated into the format that Pincrush makes meaning it would save TONS of CPU time plus it would have a lot less work to do..

It looks like Pincrush can only do one PNG file at a time.. So we need to make a script like Langpack that finds .png files, stores the location of the files in a temp text file, and then runs the command(In this case "pincrush") on every file in the text file.... This is going to be epic

    EDIT

I'm talking about running a script from Terminal

Aren't the system images already optimized?

Ok, I didn't know if the images were already optimized or not. If they are already optimized, then my theory doesn't NEED to be proven haha.
