Don't know if anyone has thought of this yet, but I have an idea for a plugin for Safari. There's already tabbed browsing in Safari, but you can't open links in a new tab unless they open in a new window. (I know it's pretty pointless considering most links open in a new tab, but bare with me) But say you can make a plugin where you have to hold down the link, and a bar will pop up like when you hold an image to save it, instead it would say "Open Link in New Tab" and "Open Link". Thoughts?

    I like the idea.

Instead of a menu, when you normally hold your finger over a link, a black box comes up. There should be two options of Tab or Window, and you just slide your finger onto that box, and whatever you select happens.

Bookmarklets on 1.1.x had this feature. I don't know if it's still there.

There's still a bookmarklet for it.
