I just had a idea. What if i made a site with all the applications, downloads, patches, etc. (LEGAL) for iPod Touch/iPhone. So if a tutorial or something tell you to get something, then you can get it at the Downloads Center!

Btw i need your guy's opinion on this.

Ex. dev stuff, itunes releases(mirrors), fw (excluding priced ones), winpwn, utilities, winscp etc

you would need EVERYTHING on there, or else it would be pointless.

Or you can create one whole thread on iPTF instead of just directing traffic to a site you create.

It would be great to have a central site which you can browse on your computer, then download stuff to put on your iPod/iPhone. I know it sorta defeats the purpose of wifi, but it would be easier to manage stuff, and if jailbroken stuff could be put on there, you could have apps backed up on your main computer, so no trouble upgrading firmware!
BTW, speaking of backing up jailbroken stuff, does anyone have a good way of doing this? One which is easy, and hopefully keeps your information?

    backing up jailbroken apps:
Backup the "/Applications" folder via SSH

Backing up (most) private JB data:
Backup the "/var/mobile/Library" folder via SSHand

    Backing up photos:
Backup the "/var/mobile/Media/Photos" and "/var/mobile/Media/DCIM" folders via SSH

    To the topic:
Yes a download center would be really nice! Included with some instructions how to set up what etc!
And perhaps a "bundle-download" function letting visitors select what to download and then download all the selected things at once in a zipped file...

I'd be really interested in that and perhaps even supporting it actively...things like servers or bandwidth

But first at all let's see how many others are interested in
