i dont think this has been mentioned before but, could it be possible to make a backup of your intire ipod and turn it into an ipsw file? for example, winpwn makes a copy of your ipods current filesystem then turns it into an ipsw. then if anything ever goes wrong with your ipod, you can just restore it with your backup ipsw file. i think this would be a great feature to have. it sounds like it would be pretty involved though to make.
    so comments on this?

i thought of that but it would be very hard on windows if you read on winpwn.com ipsw builder is hard and thats what would probably be used

i agree it wouldnt be an easy task. ive seen that application, but i think it would be awesome to have it as an ipsw. thanks for the responses.

its "CMW" and yea you should do that. i havn't tried the ibackup yet, but it looks like some people are having trouble with thier apps getting put back. i know its still in beta, so imma wait till its fixed before i try it.

only problem i can see with this is... the backup would take ages if you have a full 32gb ipod

lol, i should be alright, i have an 8gn (half full) but the backup would take a while, then restoring using the backup would also take some time

    Good idea though
