This is probably the best Idea I've come up with... might not work but idk.

I know with mobilefinder (appstore version) you can transfer files from one ipod to another via wifi LAN.

Now what if you have a shortcut file *pointing to root or var* on a jailbroken iPod and send it over to the non jailbroken iPod?

So you could have the shortcut now in the G2 iPod touch which would allow full access to root or var (from what I know shortcutting to var doesn't have limitations like linking to root does.)

If someone would like to try this out please do and leave feedback!

neither do I lol. This theoretically could work hahaha

What if someone created the shortcut file and uploaded it here? From here someone could download it and transfer the file over via web browser (I forgot you can transfer files over via computer)

I don't think it would work - and here's why:

    1. Protected files, system files won't be copied over. (At least it shouldn't if the OS is security conscious.)

    2. Open files. Most files cannot be copied while they are being used.

    Anyone else?

Um.... There is NO possible way that this would work, for a large number of reasons. Sorry

That won't work - just having a symbolic link changes NOTHING.
The application has no root access on non-jailbroken iPods full stop. Apple's not that retarded.
