I use Cyw00d to restart my iPod Touch 2G and on occasions, rejailbreak it. In step two, theres something that makes a IPSW file by like "injecting" an official firmware with Cydia and Installer. So later I restore my iPod Touch with that patched Firmware, it will include Cydia on it.

Wouldn't that work with iPhone OS 3.0 too? It just "injects" Cydia onto it and later I restore it via iTunes and voila, Jailbreak on iPod Touch 2G. iBoot will have to boot it just like the Jailbroken 2.2.1 software, same concept, right?

I don't want to try anything cause theres still a chance I might brick my iPod Touch. If anyone thinks this would work and want to try it, I'll be waiting your your results.

    Thanks.

There are quite a few more steps to producing a jailbroken firmware that merely adding cydia....

    Nope.
It's not just popping Cydia and Installer in there.
It's breaking the Signature checks in the OS to run the things needed to boot into a jailbroken state.
    If redsn0w 0.3 couldn't Jailbreak 3.0, I don't think Cyw00d's GUI could do it either.
    Haha.
    Cyw00d. First thing I jailbroke with. Memoriesssss~

Dang, and I thought I might have been onto something. My Firmware 2.2.1 is messing up, could be cause of all the Apps I downloaded. So I'm in major need of a restore. If 3.0 won't work I guess I'll have to 2.2.1 it again.

Just be patient. There are no completely new techniques that have to be discovered, and unlike the original 2.0 exploit, the Dev team doesn't have to stab around in the dark. It will come.
