I was thinking, and I came up with an idea - when you download a Jailbroken application, wouldn't it be cool if it would save to the untethered-boot firmware? Like, it would download it and save it to the firmware that you boot with normally, not by hooking up to a computer?

Just wondering if it was possible - no flaming or "NOOB THAT 1S1NT P0SSIBL3 YOU MOFO GAYBO" comments please. ^^

if it was that simple, don't you think the devteam would have done that already?
by the way, "save to the untethered-boot firmware" makes no sense at all, there is only 1 firmware running on your ipod

There's a lot of ideas and questions I have too, but it's just not as easy as it sounds.

It won't work, because (from what I've learned) it would have to have some signature checking thing or some electronic bypassing thing. I really have no idea to be honest. Maybe it's possible, I'm not sure. If there's one thing I hope they can get working I hope they get Categories working. I have everything in there.

    Besides stock applications.

    Alright, sounds good ^^
    Thanks for letting me know.
And Clash: I didn't understand, the way it was portrayed made it seem like a dual-boot sort of thing. xD No need to get mad. xD

but in all honesty, there would be no point to jailbreaking then, we could just save whatever we want on your iPods

What we want it not allowed 3rd party apps, and to get that we need to jailbreak, simple as said
