why would you want to replace cydia with icy? Cydia is the best jailbroken app installer out there

Have icy and SSH installed already. Then just ssh into the iPod and run this command:

    rm -R /Applications/Cydia.app

I'd recommend to keep Cydia, no matter how much you want to use Icy. Icy so far is not incredibly stable and despite its smaller size their are downsides to it. As much as Icy looks better, Cydia has been widely used for 1/2 a year now, so it is more stable and you can can faster support if anything goes wrong.

very true. icy doesn't completely update with all the same stuff that cydia has.. and yes cydia may take a little longer to use and load, but its a million times more stable.. not to put down icy or anything, its a nice program. it just doesn't have enough patching and what not done to it for it compete with cydia in stability and the amount of stuff that is in there.. so.. yeah.. and cydia has been out for a lot longer than 1/2 a year. it was out just after i joined this site, which was Feb of 2008.. it came out just a little bit after that.. so its coming up on a year now... but yeah.. cydia>Icy.. for now...

cause icy has potential... it just needs to be utilized.
