I'm on 1.1.4 - my icopter scores dont save when I exit the app. I did the terminal thing so applications save when you exit like they should, and it worked for all my other apps. but not icopter. its still broken. is there a fix for this?

Terminal thing? And that was... what?

Set the permissions of highscore.txt in the iCopter folder to 777. It should then work. If it doesn't report back.

I cant remember firsthand - look in the 1.1.4 jailbreak section - in the "how to jailbreak and perfect your 1.1.4 ipod touch"

well it might work, but for some reason I'm not allowed to modify anything in my applications folder... (just changes back immediately)

    Type this in terminal:

    chmod -R 777 /Applications/iCopter.app/highScore.txt

I'm guessing the code of the game deletes the contents of HighScore.txt I'm thinking create a symlink to another file, so that 2 files get updated, but only one gets deleted. And when you start the game again, the symlink will have both files have the high score? I'm not sure if symlinks work that way though.

they dont. if you create a symlink its still one file, and then another file that acts like a shortcut. in fact, its exactly like a shortcut on your computer. if you open the shortcut and change things, the original is changed too.

EDIT: oh and the terminal thing didnt work. I guess the permissions arent a problem
