When I compile my app under Xcode for Device - Release 2.0 and after SSHing the files over to my iPod. The icon on my iPod looks like the icon.png with no effects, gloss and rounded edges in it. The icon.png is a 57x57 image located in the Resources folder of my app. Please help me find a solution to give it that look. iPhone SDK also says that iPhone OS adds gloss and rounded edges and I do not have that preference in the Info.plist set to not include the effects.

    Thanks in advance.

You can't SSH it over and get the effect. Only way to get that effect would be to create it with the effect in photoshop and use the pre-glossed/curved icon. In order to get it to automatically give you the effects, you need a developer license.
