I haven't been able to get this to work. I have read the two main threads here about installing it. http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23759&highlight=icomic The main thread says that it should work in 1.1.3 but you have to manually create the comics folder in <root>/private/var/root/Media/Comic and I also deleted the one file and edited another so the language would be english. It shows up on the springboard but just shows an empty page for a few seconds then drops back to the springboard. I chmod'd the permissions and there I am. Out of idea? anyone?

edit: I did put the iComic.app in the applications folder an am using the latest version, I think, from the authors site http://code.google.com/p/iphonecomic/ version 007

Try creating the folder var/root/Library/iComic. It might need that for the preference files.

Thanks but still no luck. I'm going to keep reading and searching and trying stuff. I really want to get this thing working so more suggestions are welcome.

edit: http://www.iphoneskinning.com/tag/comics This method did not work either.

Anyone know why my iComic doesn't save the setting I give it? Not a big deal but.. would like to have that fixed if possible.

I had this problem. I couldn't find any of the comics that I'd put on.
The comics must be placed in
    /private/var/mobile/Media/Comic/
and then they will appear. Don't forget they need to be in .zip files and when transferring (SSH) to click "Presets" in the bottom left corner, and choose "binary".
    Hope this helps.
