Okay, so I just realized I do have my shsh blobs and figured I would jailbreak my MC model iPod Touch. All went well and I have restored to the custom firmware succesfully. Now I open iBooty and click boot it. It says devtree.40 wasn't found and to be sure I have copied it from the custom firmware when in fact devtree.40 is in the same folder with iBooty and has been all along, anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

You need to open the folder

Click On Tools at the top

    Then folder options

    Then press view

untick hide extensions for known file types press okay

Go back to your folder and try and rename it again

i had the same problem just some minutes ago, but i figured out that you need to rename the file extention to ".40"
so where it says "Type of file" should say 40-file
