I was in iTunes and was going to restore my iPod Touch 2G, so I clicked it in the devices tab and clicked 'Restore' when it got to the bit that says 'Preparing iPod' I was given error 1604 (well, it was definately 160 something i'm almost certian it was a 4) and now my iPod Touch is stuck on the picture of the USB cable under the iTunes logo. I honestly don't know what to do, even after searching. I have tried a different USB port and that brought up the new hardware wizard thing. iTunes isn't even recognizing my iPod Touch anymore.

    Should I try this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 ?

    Please help me.

    Thanks in advance, Alex

i put it in restore (or recovery or whatever it is) mode but it still couldn't restore, so i turned my ipod off, then back on again, and it was still saying connect to itunes and the, suddenly, it come up with the lock screen and I have managed to get everything back on.

    Thanks a million!
