It has a light leak, but it's barely noticeable and shows up at a certain angle (AKA an angle you would never use to look at an iPod anyway) and high brightness. Everything works, but it has scratches on the back.. and I hate that

Should I do it? Would it even work at the Genius Bar for them to give me a new one?

That's what mine has, except at an angle you would use it at... I haven't replaced, it hasn't bothered me...

But go try to replace it if you want, and let me know how it goes if you do...

Ok well Apple is not responsible for scratches........................and if you have to go out of your way to notice the leak thendont worry about it.

yes it would. a light leak is a light leak.
you bought a new product. this product should have minimal, barely noticeable faults. light leaks suck.

Yeah, but if it doesn't bother you (you don't use it with max brightness in the pitch black), then it's going out of your way to get it replaced...

You can find fault with anything if you look hard enough.

Well actually in the small lining border that surrounded the iPod (in between the chrome and the glass screen) there's like glue or some residue?
