    [HELP] Semi-Tethered Jailbreak Rebooting problem.

I thought the semi-tethered Jailbreak meant that if I rebooted my ipod it would run without any jailbroken functions.
    But mine doesn't at all.
First of all, I followed this tutorial, which was VERY VERY helpful http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YGZpRNf4WE&annotation_id=annotation_614683&feature=iv
and I got my iPod jailbreak working fantastically.
So I started downloading things from Cydia, and I saw 'Winterboards' so I downloaded that and it told me to reboot my ipod, so when I did, I got the apple sign, appearing and dissapearing. So I put it into DFU mode and jailbroke it again, and it worked

But I was baffled as I thought that if I accidentally rebooted it that I would still be able to access my music if I was not near a PC.
So I uninstalled WinterBoard to see if it would work, and still nothing, so do I have to connect to the PC every time I reboot?
    Thanks

Winterboard needs to be patched in order for your ipod to boot un-jailbroken. I think on page 20 or 21 of MuscleNerd's thread where he released the semi-tethered jailbreak, he linked to a patch that will allow winterboard to work on a semi-tethered iPod.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm going to wait a while until I install Winterboards.
I just really want to know what I did wrong and why my iPod will not boot after I turn it off.
    Thanks again!

Something wrong with Cydia and that is why it wont boot normally.

I think someone has posted a fix. Ill test it, and see if it works.

I support the wait for the untethered.

not really, it still works as a tethered jailbreak.. at the moment all i have installed is cydia and winterboard, i ssh'd the wbextra files directly onto the ipod and made sure that wbstart had permissions of 0755 but still i get stuck in a continuing boot cycle
