I dont know but for some reason i think my laptop is being controlled by someone else.

/ Everytime i leave my mouse for at least 10 seconds i get some weird animation on it going fom the cursor into this cross and then it like shines/ outlines.

That's paranoid schizophrenia for you.... or alternatively you may have a cursor animation enabled.... check out your mouse settings...

No i would know if its a cursor animation, i literally mean its being controlled by itself, the mouse moves out of nowhere.

To check if anybody is connected to you through ip, go to cmd(vista or xp) im assuming.close any web browser cuz they will interfere. type netstat -a
check for "established" and look for weird ip addresses. then type in google and search them if you dont know what they are.

ok, ive had a similar problem. You said it was a lap top, do you use a wireless mouse setup, one that needs batteries. When my mouse is dying it sometimes freaks out. Also when i used to use my laptop, dust would collect on the touch pad and mess with it sometimes as well.
