Well, I successfully Jail Broke using RedSn0w Lite, and I was using Cydia and installed Categories.

Categories froze when I tried to add a category, and it turned my iPod off.

Now my iPod wont re boot, and it's not recognized by my PC, and I can't restore, and the boot code for RedSn0w Lite says "No Ipod Found" even with LibUSB Installed...

    Help?

I had the same problem. Ok this is what i did. Unplug the USB From Your Computer not the Ipod and plug it in. Make sure Itunes is running and if your ipods already in Dfu you will know. then just Boot it

do the DFU (sleep and home for 10 secs then just home button for 7 more) it should show in itunes and then u can restore on just use the patch to boot the jailbreak again

Since this is tethered, each time it turns off you have to repatch it.

Put it into recovery mode like you did to jailbreak it in the first place (power+home for 10 seconds, then home until DFU). Then open up Terminal/Command Prompt, launch rslite and send the 4 files to it, like it says in the readme.

That doesn't work. The iPod can't go into DFU mode, I've tried many times.

I guess I'm the only person with this problem too...

There is no way to truly brick the thing unless you mess with hardware.

hold home and lock for 15 seconds
let go, and leave untouched for 5 seconds,
    hold home for 5 seconds,
hold home + lock for 10 seconds,
hold home button for 14 seconds

iPod should show up in itunes, in DFU.

If you do not know how to jailbreak without a GUI, then you should not be attempting this.

when this happened to me, my comp said that everytime i plugged it in, it was malfunctioning. what i did was plugged it in, waited for the malfunctioning windows error bubble on the right side, then clicked it. went to the BOLDED Unknown USB device, uninstall driver. Unplugged my ipod, plugged it back in, then held down sleep and home until itunes gave me a message, just keep holding until you see itunes activity, even if you think its been too long

Its not bricked. I thought mine was bricked too after I installed the PatchedFW. It took me like 30min to get back in dfu, but it is possible and then it worked fine..
