Alright I ucked up got my IpodT stuck in recovery mode. I can restore but Itunes will automatically upgrade my firmware to 2.02. I still want 1.14. Is there any way to either still get 1.14 or to downgrade from 2.02 back to older firmware?

put your ipod touch in dfu mode my holding the home and power button down for 7 seconds and then letting go of the power button and hold the home button till itunes recognizes it and it will let you restore to 1,1,4 (remember to shift click restore)

Thanks for the replies. Ok not to sound like a total noob but when you guys say "recognize" are u meaning that it will display all my Ipod info or if Itunes just knows that there is an Ipod hooked up because it does that. It just doesn't display any info about the Ipod. And what is "shift resore" because I pushed Shift and clicked on restore and it popped open a file window.

To "shift restore" you need a .ipsw file of 1.1.4, google it. Once you've got it and iTunes 7.5 and your iPod in restore mode, shift click restore, if you're using windows, and choose the 1.1.4 .ipsw file.
